Classical Canonical Distribution for Dissipative Systems
In this paper we derive the canonical distribution as a stationary solution of the Liouville equation for the classical dissipative system. Dissipative classical systems can have stationary states look like canonical Gibbs distributions. The condition for non-potential forces which leads to this stationary solution is very simple: the power of the non-potential forces must be directly proportio...
متن کاملCovariant Poisson Brackets for Classical Fields
Poisson brackets that are spacetime covariant are presented for a variety of relativistic field theories. These theories include electromagnetism, general relativity, and general relativistic fluids and plasmas in Eulerian representation. The examples presented suggest the development of a general theory; the beginnings of such a theory are presented. Our covariant bracket formalism provides a ...
متن کاملA Quantum–Classical Brackets from p-Mechanics
– We provide an answer to the long standing problem of mixing quantum and classical dynamics within a single formalism. The construction is based on p-mechanical derivation of quantum and classical dynamics from the representation theory of the Heisenberg group. To achieve a quantum-classical mixing we take the product of two copies of the Heisenberg group which represent two different Planck’s...
متن کاملchannel estimation for mimo-ofdm systems
Invariant manifolds for dissipative systems
A method is given for a study of a nonlinear evolution equation for finding “slow” invariant manifolds. The method is studied for the evolution problem u̇=−Au + Au ,u / u ,u u, u 0 =u0, where A is a linear, self-adjoint, possibly unbounded operator in a Hilbert space. Global existence and uniqueness of the solution to this problem are proven. Asymptotic behavior of the solution as t→ is studied....
